Lyle, you’re an inspiration to me and many, many others. Your determination to help ALS be at the forefront of people’s thoughts is truly admirable. I’ve put a little something in on behalf of Suki and I to help you reach your goal.
Dear Lyle
You are amazing. It is sad that we met because of ALS. You have enriched my life by being part of it. You are phenominal!
Your strong sense of family values is an example that everyone should aspire to.
You are a dedicated volunteer even under the most challenging circumstances.
So many people take strength from your courage.
Thank you does not express my gratitude to you for everything you have contributed to the ALS Society of BC. You make a huge difference in the lives of everyone you touch.
Don’t ever quit fighting. We will beat this monster.
Big Hugs
Wendy
Hi Lyle,
I have seen you on the news and your story touched my heart. I could not give as much as I wanted too, but hope that every little bit helps. I myself am a father of 2, and had a close call about 2 years ago with a heart attack. What I see with you and how fast your deteriorating, it is hard to imagine what that must feel like for you. I still wish you as much time as possible with your kids and wife and hope you can enjoy every moment that you still have with them. Your journey for the rest of your life will not be easy, but the universe will take care of your family when you are gone. I know that you will still be with them after your leaving the physical world and you will forever be in their hearts. Good luck, I am sending you as much positive energy as I can… be good and sorry to say that we have never met, but we will one day I am sure.
Sven
Lyle’s family,
with deep sympathy I heard the news of your loss. I never met Lyle, however I heard many good stories of him from Barb and Roger. It sounded like Lyle has a great family who supported one another in a very tough time.
My thoughts are with you all at this time.
Ken
I am honoured to have met Lyle the times he came to the preschool to pick up or drop off Ethan. I knew he was a special man immediately. The love and connection Lyle and Ethan share is something that I have not seen many times; I can’t put it into words at this time.
May your family find peace in the wonderful memories you will always carry with you.
Love,
Sue
I was so very saddened to hear about the loss of Lyle. I was fortunate enough to have known Lyle for many years. Lyle and I attended Jr and Sr high School together and we graduated together from LSS in ‘85. I also had the pleasure of meeting his wife once, as I met them both for a drink at a local spot in Edmonton, as he was there with his wife for a convention. Lyle, you will be greatly missed, and I am a better person for knowing you!

He was so beautiful.
Hi Gaby, I’m wheelchair bound and lift assisted. I figure I
have five months left. ALS is racing through my body.
