Wilman

I know only too well how difficult it is to sit by and feel helpless because nothing can stop ALS - not yet anyway.

For Simon and his family, it's all about quality of life now - and having good friends who care makes all the difference. Spend time with Simon and enjoy your time together - that is the best thing you can do. All the best,

I friend of mine has been affected by this disease and I am very sad for him. I am trying to do my best to help him out by encouraging to program in projects I have (he's a developer by the way).
I wish there were something I could do for him to make this disease to stop.
He's in his 30s, he's a wife and a couple of little kids. I ran into this blog and found it important so I wanted to leave his story here. His name is Simon.
Thanks for the blog and for the chance

I was so very saddened to hear about the loss of Lyle. I was fortunate enough to have known Lyle for many years. Lyle and I attended Jr and Sr high School together and we graduated together from LSS in '85. I also had the pleasure of meeting his wife once, as I met them both for a drink at a local spot in Edmonton, as he was there with his wife for a convention. Lyle, you will be greatly missed, and I am a better person for knowing you!
Sicerely,
Jim Williamson,

Both my son and daughter attend preschool with Ethan and I do remember greeting Lyle with his son many times while he was still able. Taylor went to Ethan's b-day party and I had a wonderful conversation with such a warm and spirited man. I pray that all the family is managing as best as possible; no words can give the peace desired but hopefully a little glimmer of comfort in this difficult time. Thinking of you all.
